Ross Paul is a Canadian actor. He’s been featured in multiple films, including Moby Dick and Skinamarink. From what I’ve gathered he and Skinamirnk’s director Kyle Edward Ball became acquainted through actress Jamie Hill and because of his style and range, he was chosen to portray Dad in the groundbreaking experimental film.
Simply put, Skinamirink follows two children who wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing, and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished. While I’d like to dive into a more heated discussion, expanding further would only spoil the surprises. Just know that you’re something different, then you’re in for a treat.
I can’t be alone as Kyle Edward Ball’s spooky found footage movie quickly passed the million-dollar mark at the North American box office. This is another massive win for indie horror, following in the wake of Damien Leone’s slasher Terrifier 2 making 12.8 million at the US box office this past Halloween season. While I think this one is best experienced in a theater, you can now watch it from home. Skinamirink is now available for streaming exclusively through Shudder.
As Ross mentions, he has a lot going on, so be sure to give him a follow on Instagram to stay in the loop about upcoming projects and appearances. I for one am very excited about his collaboration with bootleg317, so you can consider me subscribed for sure!
