Devon Sawa began his acting career in 1992 with a small role in the Canadian television series Unsub. He went on to star in all of the films you love, including Casper, Now and Then, and Wild America. In 2000, Sawa had a leading role in the horror movie Final Destination, which became a commercial success and spawned a franchise of sequels.
In recent years, Sawa has continued to work in both film and television. He had a recurring role in the popular CW series Nikita and appeared in the TV series Somewhere Between and the horror movie The Fanatic.
While I am very fond of Sawa’s early work, the projects as of late continue to show us why he’s still in the conversation. Who Are You People isn’t any exception. Sawa returns to the father role, and he delivers one of the best performances of his career.
If you grew up loving Sawa or any of the supporting cast for that matter, be sure to check out the coming-of-age drama Who Are You People from writer/director Ben Epstein. While the story might not be for everyone, it’s a story that needed to be told, and this crew did an amazing job telling it. The film will be released courtesy of distributor Gravitas Ventures on February 24th.
