If you know me, I've probably recommended the film Cheap Thrills to you at some point in our friendship. But for those that aren't aware, this was my third favorite film of 2014. That is the same year that Whiplash, Gone Girl, and Boyhood all came out. I chose Cheap Thrills over all of those, and to put it lightly, for good reason.
John Suits is one of the many people involved in the creation of the masterpiece that is Cheap Thrills. He is one of the people that recognized the greatness early on, and I am forever thankful because of which.
His latest film, 3022, finds a group of astronauts living in the haunting emptiness of deep space awake to find earth has suffered an extinction-level event. And while I didn't love this one as much as some of his other projects, 3022 is worth checking out.
It features a lot of familiar faces such as Omar Epps, Kate Walsh, Miranda Cosgrove, Angus MacFayden and Jorja Fox. The film was written by Ryan Binaco and directed by John Suits.
Saban Films will release the sci-fi film 3022 in Theaters, On Demand and Digital on November 22, 2019.
