I’ve been a fan of Logan Marshall-Green for as long as I can remember, and when I heard he was making his directorial debut I was thrilled. I also had a lot of questions. Why did he make the move to the director’s chair? What inspired him to write a film? How did he go about casting actors? There’s so many things I wanted to know.
That is why I love what I do! I got a chance to check out Logan’s film, Adopt a Highway, a few nights ago. The film was fantastic, from start to finish I was glued to the screen. The movie had a heightened sense of realism that while I did love, it keep me invested and ultimately exhausted me by the end. Seriously, we had to take breaks to gather ourselves, It was impressive how real the whole thing felt!
The cast was amazing. Ethan Hawke delivered an award-winning performance, and the two littles that played the baby girl were perfect additions to the group. Logan definitely caught lightening in a bottle, and while I was a fan of him as an actor. He has earned a fan that will keep checking back to see what he is up to next.
So, while I did get to talk to Logan about the few mentioned questions above as well as sneak in a mention of the now-forgotten Fox classic, The OC, I want to see whatever Logan cooks up next. He hints at his next project being bigger than Adopt a Highway, but honestly, after seeing this, and actually talking to the man, I think I’d buy a ticket to pretty much anything he is attached to.
